PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device in which original reading travel distance can be remarkably reduced and a noise is small by starting a reading operation before scanning arrives at a stationary speed, and completing reading after the speed is decreased at a prescribed speed. CONSTITUTION:The CPU 1 of a controller controls a scanner driving circuit 2, a drum driving circuit 4, a development driving circuit 6, a laser diode driving circuit 8, a lamp driving circuit 10, and a beam molding actuator 12 based on an input signal. The reading of an original image is started before the scanning speed of a scanner arrives at the stationary speed, and the rotational circumferential speed of a photosensitive drum is followed up along with the increase of the scanning speed of the scanner. After that, the driving of a scanner motor 3 is stopped before image reading for one original portion is completed, and the reading is completed when the scanning speed of the scanner is decreased and arrives at a prescribed speed. Thereby, it is possible to dispense with the circuit 2 with large acceleration capacity and to omit most of approach run and excess run distance. |
