PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording material using postcheleting dye capable of imparting excellent color tone as cyan by cheleting by providing a thermal transfer layer containing dye represented by a general formula on a support. CONSTITUTION:As dye contained in a thermal transfer layer, a dye represented by a general formula is used. In the formula, R<1> is a group substituted for benzene ring, and n is integer of 0-3. When the n is 2 or more, a plurality of R<1> may be the same or different. R<2> is hydroxy group or amino group. An image receiving material is superposed on a thermal transfer material having the layer containing the above dye on a support, overheated in response to image information, and an image is formed by a chelete dye to be formed by reaction of the dye with metallic ions. According to this, a cyan image having excellent image stability can be obtained with high density, and preservability of an ink sheet can be enhanced. |
