PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by preventing data cached on a disk cache from being lost owing to power source abnormality. CONSTITUTION:If a power failure occurs, a power circuit 118 generates a power failure detection signal DET. This power failure detection signal DET is supplied to a read/write circuit 402. Even if the power failure occurs, a source voltage VCC2 is backed up by a backup capacitor 119 and a disk cache memory 116, an EEPROM 117, and the read/write circuit 402 are supplied with the specific source voltage VCC2 for a certain period. The read/write circuit 402 is automatically actuated in response to the power failure detection signal DET and data transfer is performed from a disk cache memory 116 to the EEPROM 117 according to a specific parameter value to save data in the EEPROM 117 from a write cache 500. |
