<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording/reproducing device capable of getting a satisfied head touch even in the case where the number of drum rotation is particularly increased. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted in such a manner that plural recording modes with different number of drum rotation are provided and a reproduction is performed by changing the number of drum rotation in accordance with the mode at the time of reproduction. The device is furnished with means 18-21 to discriminate the mode of regenerative signal and means 22-26 to control the tape tension. The tape tension is made to change with the mode at the recording or reproducing time. When the rotation speed of drum is increased, the increment of an air film is prevented by increasing the tape tension against the time of a low speed, then the power deterioration is eliminated even at the time of a high speed rotation.</p> |
