PURPOSE:To provide a base telephone set which can use slave telephone sets with different call codes. CONSTITUTION:In order to speak with a hand set 1 provided with the call code different from that of a base set 18, a call originate signal containing a control signal is transmitted from the hand set 1 by switching the base set 18 to a learning mode while using an input part 16 and by off-hooking the hand set 1. The base set 18 receives this signal, a demodulation part 8 demodulates the call originate signal, and a discrimination part 12 discrminates modulation speed from a bit synchronizing signal constituting the control signal inside the call originate signal. A detection part 13 detects the call code and a sub code sent at this modulation speed, and learning is completed by storing those codes in a storage part 14. When the base set 18 receives the call originate signal from the hand set at the time of normal communication, the detection part 13 detects the call code and the sub code in the call originate signal (control signal), a comparison part 15 compares these call code and sub code with the call code and sub code stored in the storage part 14 and when they are coincident, a control part 17 starts a normal reception procedure by outputting a coincidence signal. |
