PURPOSE:To provide the commodity sales data register device which automatically changes the scroll speed to desired one without requiring an especial operation in accordance with the use condition of the device for improving the message display effect. CONSTITUTION:In this commodity sales data register device, a scroll speed corresponding to inputted customer layer data is extracted and is set to a controller 23 based on a customer layer table where scroll speeds corresponding to customer layer data are stored. Or the frequency in execution of closing per unit time is counted to discriminate the frequency in closing, and a scroll speed is extracted and is set to the controller 23 based on a closing frequency table where this frequency in closing and scroll speeds corresponding to respective frequencies in closing are stored. As the result, the controller 23 displays a message on a display means 22 while scrolling it at the set scroll speed. |
