SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND MAINTAINING SNMP TABLE

PURPOSE: To provide the improved system and method for monitoring the SNMP table. CONSTITUTION: The new system and method enable a manager in simple network management protocol(SNMP) environment to gather update from agents. The system and method are used for a table of each agent and provide indications showing various variations. The indexes increase with alterations of the table. The manager holds the records of the indexes of data received from the agents and requests only data having large indexes of dictionary editing. Further, the indexes are used for relative tables, which are synchronized as to know whether the manager has the latest update. Consequently, an accurate outline can be represented.
