摘要 PURPOSE:To quickly measure the distance to an obstacle by shortening the mirror stabilization time at the time of distance measurement. CONSTITUTION:An image in front of a traveling train vehicle is picked up by an image pickup device 11, and it is fed to an image processing device 13 via an A/D converter 12. When the image is fed, a command is sent to a mirror driver 19 to drive a mirror 20 so that the laser emission direction of a laser distance measuring device 16 is directed to a far temporary target position on a rail obtained by a map information data base 14 according to the number of kilometers. The image processing device 13 detects an obstacle located far on the rail based on the fed image and the rail information from the data base 14 and obtains its position. A command is sent to the mirror driver 19 to drive the mirror 20 so that the laser emission direction is shifted by the difference between the far approximate position on the rail and the obstacle position, then laser is emitted from the laser distance measuring device 16, and the distance between the present position and the obstacle is measured.
