PURPOSE:To suppress the adverse influence of unnecessary learning data on homophone selection by altering the contents of a short-period learning buffer used for the homophone selection. CONSTITUTION:A character string which is inputted through an input means 21 is processed by a KANA(Japanese syllabary)-KANJI(Chinese character) conversion processing part 24 by referring a dictionary, a table 26, etc., and the learning buffer 30 and the result is displayed on an output means 22; when the conversion result which is outputted preferentially on the basis of data stored in the learning buffer 30 is not selected, the learning data used for this conversion are deleted from the learning buffer 30. |
