PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of image quality, clogging and the defect of an image by arranging a movable meshed foreign matter scavenging member in a residual toner recovering path extending over a cleaner part, a toner carrying pipe and a developing machine. CONSTITUTION:The cleaner part 7 removing and recovering the residual toner on a photosensitive body 1 is coupled with the toner hopper 6 of the developing machine 3 through the toner carrying pipe 17, and the movable meshed foreign matter scavenging member 11 for removing a foreign matter in the recovered toner, which can be vibrated, is arranged at an optional spot in the residual toner recovering path extending over the cleaner part 7, the toner carrying pipe 17 and the toner hopper 6. By using the foreign matter scavenging member 11 for scavenging the foreign matter, which has a larger mesh than the foreign matter such as a fiber or paper powder and which does not prevent the toner from passing, and vibrating it up and down by the rotation of a toner carrying screw 12, the paper powder and the fibers existing in the recovered toner cling to each other and other foreign matter also clings and is scavenged as the larger lump than the mesh of a net. |
