Seal arrangement

The invention specifies an hygienic seal arrangement on bushing shafts which has a cover. The seal arrangement is intended, for example, for the food industry or the like. An outer sealing ring and an inner sealing ring are connected adhesively with the cover, for example by means of vulcanisation. In the arrangement, the side of the outer sealing ring which faces the medium to be sealed off is somewhat compressed, in that, in each case, the contact faces in the cover and in the wall in which the cover is arranged are of a shape converging in the direction of the medium side. The inner sealing ring in the form of a lip seal bears against part of a bushing shaft, the part being capable of moving somewhat to and fro, but not being capable of rotating. The lip seal is designed in such a way that the edge of the lip is pressed against the bearing face by the pressure of the product.
