The invention relates to a solid tyre which consists essentially of rubber or rubber-like plastics and has a tread belt, a base layer and a base layer reinforcement made of textile or metallic reinforcement carriers. In order to permit automised production of the base layer reinforcement, it is proposed that the base layer reinforcement consist of an at least single-layer wrapped belt which is produced by wrapping a single cord or wire or cable in numerous windings and extends at least over 20% of the axial width of the base layer.
