Pivot joint (1) as connection piece between two components, at least one component being mounted such that it can be rotated about its horizontal axis. The essence of the invention consists in that - the pivot joint comprises a hose or hose-like body consisting of an elastomeric material, an embedded reinforcement (4) being provided between the hose core (2) and hose covering (3), which reinforcement comprises filaments which are formed in one or more layers and run at an angle alpha which - with respect to the axis direction of the pivot joint - is zero degrees or, when the filaments are in a criss-cross arrangement, deviates only to a very small extent from zero degrees; and in that - the pivot joint is additionally provided with rings (7) which are arranged in the radial direction. <IMAGE>
