PURPOSE: To provide a treatment method of lyso-PAF interstitial disease by PAF antagonistic substances and a method for determining their effects. CONSTITUTION: The lyso-PAF (1-0-alkyl-sn-glyceryl-3-phosphocholine) is found in an increase quantity in the body fluid of a mental disease and/or inflammatory disease as the precursor substance and metabolite of the PAF. The lyso- PAF adjusts the PAF receptor on the human neutrophilic leucocyte by their own receptor and at this time, the PAF receptor is suppressed by the PAF antagonistic substance. The patient requiring the treatment of the mental disease and/or inflammatory disease is medicated with the effective amt. of at least one kind of the PAF antagonistic substances in order to treat the disease described above according to the invention. In such a case, the PAF antagonistic substances are hydrophilic or nonhydrophilic triazolochieno-diazepin or its homolog, a ginkgolide, a ginkgolide mixture or synthetic deriv. or the homolog of the PAF or a mixture composed of these compds. or a mixture composed of these compds. |
