PURPOSE:To provide the production process whereby a large amount of a reinforcing fiber can be incorporated in the obtained fiber-reinforced plastic sheet, the mechanical strengths of the sheet can be improved, and the sheet can be recycled when it becomes wastes. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing a fiber-reinforced plastic sheet by hot-pressing a gas-permeable sheet structure made of a reinforcing fiber of a fiber length of 5-50mm and a particulate thermoplastic resin material, wherein a particulate thermoplastic resin material having a mean particle diameter of 5mm or below and containing an adherent reinforcing fiber of a fiber length of 5mm or below is used as at least part of the particulate thermoplastic resin material, and the reinforcing fiber of a fiber length of 5-50mm is mixed with the particulate thermoplastic resin material in a weight ratio of the resin component in the fiber-reinforced plastic sheet to the total amount of the reinforcing fiber of (20-80):(80-20). |
