PURPOSE:To shorten the startup time of a compressor by a method wherein a brushless motor is started by an asynchronous forced commutation operation, and when detection of a rotor position for synchronous commutation is executed in a plurality of times or above during the forced commutation operation, the operation is shifted to a synchronous commutation drive operation for which a position detection signal is used. CONSTITUTION:On the occasion of controlling a brushless motor for driving a compressor, a frequency command Fs is determined by an indoor controller 21 on the basis of a deviation of a real room temperature Ti from a set room temperature Ts and this command Fs is inputted to a speed controller 22 of an outdoor controller 21. In the outdoor controller 21, besides, the rotational position of a rotor of a motor is detected by a position detector 23 on the basis of an induced voltage of an electrification stop phase and a real rotational speed Rr of the motor 6 is computed by a speed detecting part 24 on the basis of the number of position signals Pr for a unit time. An asynchronous forced commutation operation is executed at the time of start-up, and when detection of the rotor position for synchronous commutation is executed in a plurality of times or above during the forced commutation operation, the operation is shifted to a synchronous commutation drive operation for which a position detection signal is used. |
