Procedure for obtaining (+-)-9-amino-1,2,3,4- tetrahydroacridin-1-ol. Procedure for obtaining (+-)-9-amino-1,2,3,4- tetrahydroacridin-1-ol (of formula I). It involves cyclizing the compound of formula IV in a suitable solvent medium, with acid catalysis, and isolating the desired product by the conventional methods. The product obtained has interesting therapeutic properties as a memory-enhancing agent in Alzheimer's disease. <IMAGE>
