摘要	In the case of a process for the piecing of the starting portion of a new sliver to the end portion of a sliver travelling into a spinning arrangement, it is provided that the starting portion and the end portion of the sliver are overlapped, placed on a transport belt and loaded by means of a skid. A movable servicing device is provided for selectively moving the skid to accommodate the piecing.
