PURPOSE:To shorten the generation time and to reduce the memory capacity when a differential picture is generated from two pictures. CONSTITUTION:A reverse projection aritmhetic unit 10 which generates the differential picture is provided with an address generator 12 which is controlled by a control section 11, the 1st and 2nd picture memories 13, 14, picture inverting device 15, adder 16, and picture storage device 17. A reference picture A stored in the picture storage device 17 is sent to the picture inverting device 15, and the code of the pixel value is inverted and temporarily stored in the second picture memory 14. The inverted picture element value is sent to the 1st picture memory 13 in the prescribed timing. The picture element value on the 1st picture memory 13 corresponding to the address from the address generator 12 is read. The adder 16 adds a convolution value accumulatedly to the read value and it is stored again in the original storage area on the picture memory 13. The accumulated addition is performed for each pixel and for each view and a differential picture C is generated. |
