PURPOSE:To provide a method for imparting acetate fibers with superfine crimps which have heterofore been impossible to realize. CONSTITUTION:A method for giving crimps to a yarn comprises immersing the yarn containing acetate fibers in an aqueous solution of a corroding agent, decomposing and removing <=3-15wt.%. of the acetate fibers, and subsequently heating the treated yarn at >=96 deg.C under a wet heated condition. |
