<p>PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of driving depth by emitting electromagnetic waves from the main body of an underground driving machine toward the ground surface side, receiving reflected waves from the field surface between the ground surface or pavement surface and atmosphere, and processing the signals. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting antenna 7 and a receiving antenna 8 are installed on the upper part of a main body case 4 of an underground driving machine 3, A radar controller, transmitting and receiving circuits, signal processing section and data recording section are stored in the main body case 4. Electromagnetic waves are emitted toward the ground surface side from the transmitting circuit through the transmitting antenna 7 by control of the ladar controller. Electromagnetic waves reflected by difference in dielectric constant of the field surface between the surface of a paving layer 1 or the ground surface and atmosphere are received by the receiving circuit through the transmitting antenna 8, they are processed by the signal processing section to obtain a driving depth signal, it is recorded in the data recording section, and driving depth required to be driven is calculated, and driving depth is controlled.</p> |
