PURPOSE:To form a ring-shaped radial anisotropic magnet by a method wherein a plurality of arc-shaped magnets which have been manufactured by a bending and working operation at a specific temperature or higher are combined and the magnets are held at a specific temperature in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:An alloy whose raw-material basic components are R (where R represents at least one kind out of rare-earth elements including Y), Fe and B is melted and cast. Then, a plurality of arc-shaped magnets manufactured by a process in which a cast ingot is hot-worked at a temperature of 500 deg.C or higher and hot-bent and worked are combined, they are held at a temperature of 450 to 1100 deg.C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere, parts between the magnets are bonded, and a ring-shaped radial anisotroplc magnet can be formed. When the magnets are held under the same condition in a state that they have been combined with a yoke, a ring-shaped magnet which has been integrated with the yoke can be manufactured. A process in which both the yoke and the magnets are polished and bonded is not required, and the number of processes can be reduced. |
