<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a three-dimesional input device by stopping the movement of fingers caused in the normal direction through the operation of a track ball by means of a projecting part formed at the rotary ring side of a fixed ring and preventing the fingers from touching inadvertently the rotary ring. CONSTITUTION:A three-dimensional input device is provided with a spherical track ball 1 which can revolve in the biaxial directions, a rotary ring 2 which can revolve around the ball 1, a fixed ring 3 set between the ball 1 and the ring 2, a photointerrupter 5 which detects the biaxial direction revolution of the ball 1 and produces the 1st and 2nd input signals, and another photointerrupter which detects the revolution of the ring 2 and produces the 3rd input signal. Then a ring-shaped projecting part 3f is formed in a body with the edge part at the side of the ring 2 set on the upper face 3a of the ring 3. So that the face 3a has a vertical section of an approximately conical shape.</p> |
