PURPOSE:To perform the control of light emission with a simple circuit by directly driving a gate control type switching element with the IC of a CPU or the like. CONSTITUTION:The series circuit composed of a power battery E1, a main capacitor C5, a power filter circuit 2, a stroboscope stepup power circuit 3, a voltage detecting circuit 4 for detecting the charge voltage of the capacitor C5, a trigger circuit 5, a flash discharge tube 6 and a diode D5, and an IGBT 7 as a gate control type switching element is connected in parallel to a CPU 1. The gate of the IGBT 7 is directly driven with the CPU 1. Also, the IGBT 7 is turned on with the trigger circuit 5 before causing the tube 6 to emit light, and turned off according to a light emission stop signal from the CPU 1. |
