<p>PURPOSE:To release tape tension enough when it is required and to miniaturize the adjusting device and then to reduce the cost. CONSTITUTION:An engagement means 30 out of engagement means 30 and 31, is provided on a mode changeover means 7 to be operated when tape traveling speed is changed over to either of high speed and low speed modes, and an other 31 is provided on a tension arm 9 to be engaged with a tape T at the time of traveling the tape T and to give tension to the tape. Then, the mode changeover means 7 is engaged with the tension arm at the high speed traveling time of the tape 5 via the engagement means 30 and 31 attending upon movement of the mode changeover means 7, and the tension arm 9 is turned in the direction of releasing the tape T from its tension, while the mode changeover means 7 is released from engagement with the tension arm 9 at the low speed traveling time of the tape T, so as to move the tension arm 9 to the side of giving tension to the tape T.</p> |
