<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image display device which can show the audience with only the images to be appreciated by hiding the unnecessary operating images useless for the andience and also can show an operator both types of images by one display part by overlapping the operating image on the edge part of the appreciating image to generate a synthetic image. CONSTITUTION:An appreciating image generating part 11 generates the sample images to be shown to the audience in a presentation. Meanwhile an operating image generating part 12 generates an operating instruction image that is shown to an operator for making presentation. Here a longitudinal long rectangle- shaped image is generated. An image synthesizing part 13 synthesize an appreciating image with an operating image to generate a synthetic image. Then the operating image is drawn by overlapping on the material image for presentation at its right corner, and the synthetic image is outputted to an appreciating image display part 14 and an operating image display part 15 as the video signals respectively. The display range of the part 14 is set narrowly so that the part of operating image is hidden and only the appreciating image is presented. The part 15 shows both appreciating and operating images.</p> |
