The invention relates to a device for diagnosis, servicing and repair of, in particular, personal computers, and is based on a combination of a multiplicity of technical measuring devices which form a complex hardware system. In particular, the invention relates to a cable adapter, a cable tester, stimulus generators and experimental platforms as well as a power pack tester. The above-mentioned system components can be used individually or else to construct a cost-effective operational measuring station. The hardware system is designed so that trainees can build it themselves in the context of their training and subsequently use it.
