The invention relates to a liquid container with at least one electric heat source which is arranged in the region close to the bottom of the container for warming or heating liquid which is stored inside the container, the liquid container having a dedicated measuring and control device which is in control connection with the heat source and at least one temperature sensor, for heating the content of the container approximately to a predetermined or preselectable temperature or temperature stage. Liquid containers of this type can be used for example in commercial aeroplanes in order to store water, coffee, tea, milk or other liquid food in the warm state. In order to make it easier for the operating staff to handle this food while preparing it and in order to keep the heat loss as low as possible in the case of the liquid container, provision is made according to the invention for the heat source of this liquid container to be designed as a flat heater which comes to bear in a planar manner on the container and to be adjustable by means of the measuring and control device to at least two temperature stages.
