Process and plant for regenerating ion exchangers

By means of a process for the regeneration of ion exchangers, in particular in feed water treatment units for steam generators in power stations or in ammonia synthesis plants, in the regeneration of ion exchangers the residual chemicals being washed out by deionised water, a solution is to be created by which the amount of waste water arising is reduced with simple means. This is achieved by at least some of the wash water arising during washing out with deionised water being collected in a buffer tank and held ready as regeneration solution for a subsequent regeneration. <IMAGE>
