In the case of a waveguide system with a substrate layer having electrically conductive regions and with at least one metal layer applied to earth potential, a particularly simple construction results, in particular also for radiating or receiving signals of different polarisation and frequency with a waveguide system, by the use of at least one dielectric layer (3, 4; 21; 31, 32, 33; 51, 52) and other electrically conductive regions (5, 6, 7, 8; 22, 23; 34, 35, 36, 37; 53, 54, 55, 56) which are separated by this dielectric layer. The electrically conductive regions are radiator elements and/or connection lines or conductor networks.
