CENTRIFUGAL COUPLING

A centrifugal coupling comprises a first half-coupling (2) with a sealed cavity (3) and a second half-coupling (4), the two being arranged coaxially. The second half-coupling (4) has eccentrics (8) mounted on it in such a way that they can rotate. Double-arm levers (10) are attached by articulated connections to the first half-coupling (2) at the contact point between one of the arms (11) and the associated eccentric (8). Loads are placed on the other arm (14) of each lever (10). The coupling is provided with a planetary gear whose carrier (15) with its planet pinions (17, 18) is rigidly connected to the second half-coupling (4), and the inner sun wheel (19) is rigidly connected to the eccentrics (8). The coupling includes a hydraulic damping unit containing partitions (22) at the periphery of the hermetic cavity (3) with a clearance (23) in relation to the other arms (14) of each lever (10).
