The invention relates to a switching cabinet (electronics cabinet) having a rack whose front is closed by wall elements, a frame being inserted in an aperture in a wall element which frame encloses a screen, which is arranged behind the aperture, of a video display unit, and the video display unit being placed or mounted on a carrier which is connected in the switching cabinet with the rack. The screen of the video display unit is positioned more favourably in terms of the viewing angle and the masking effect in that the frame has a suitable connecting opening for the video display unit, which connecting opening extends downwards more and more into the interior of the switching cabinet, in that the carrier is designed as a panel-like carrier board having side walls, and in that the carrier board is adjustable, on mounting rails which are connected to the rack, in the direction of the connecting opening of the frame, and its inclination, rising towards the rear of the switching cabinet, can be varied.
