PURPOSE:To shorten the waiting time in a hall for a circulating elevator which operates a plurality of cars inside the same shaft and the time required to complete one cycle, and to secure the transport capacity equivalent to that of a single elevator even in an accident. CONSTITUTION:A hall call collection means 31 collects information about hall call buttons 41, 42 and a car information collection means 32 collects car information such as the position of each car 1a-1d. An interval measuring means 33 measures the interval at which the cars arrive and a congestion detection means 37 estimates the congestion of the cars 1. When allotment controller 35 detects that the congestion of the cars has exceeded a predetermined value, it allots to the last one of the group of cars a call to offer service using a shaft in the opposite direction, and then a drive causes that car to move backward through the shaft via a car controller, to offer service to the hall call. |
