Gritter of the mobile type comprising a hopper 1 for salt and a conveyor 2 for feeding the salt to a spreader disc 3, and a container for salt solution. The container 4 is arranged inside the hopper 1, and means comprising a screen/filter device 5 and a water-spray device 6 are arranged to produce the salt solution in situ in the hopper.
