<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a composition comprising a specific ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product, having prescribed physical properties, low in the generation of smelling ingredients, excellent in thermal stability and preservability, and useful for liquid food containers, etc. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic of this composition is that it comprises an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product containing 20-80mol.% of the ethylene content and >=95mol.% of the vinyl acetate component, 20-200ppm (converted into an alkali metal) of an alkali metal acetate, 30-250ppm of acetic acid, and 5-500ppm (converted into phosphoric acid) of the phosphoric acid or an alkali metal hydrogen phosphate salt, having an acid content/alkali metal acetate content ratio of 0.1-1, substantially not increasing an extrusion rate up to >=10whrs in the relation of a heating time with the extrusion rate by the use of a Koka type flow tester at least one point higher 10-80 deg.C than the melting point.</p> |
