SEALING METHOD FOR ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR

PURPOSE:To provide a method for sealing an electric double layer capacitor excellent in outer view and air-tight sealing performance without protruding the adhesive. CONSTITUTION:At least two protrusions 10a are formed while being spaced apart from each other on the bonding face of a frame-like gasket 10. The top of the protrusion 10a begins to melt when a hot melt adhesive 18 is hot pressed and when the hot press is stopped at such stage as the fused hot melt adhesive 18 is pooled in a space 10b defined by the protrusions 10a and a current collecting plate, the hot melt adhesive 18 filling the space 19b is cooled to be hardened thus bonding the current collecting plate 20 to the gasket 10 and sealing the space in the gasket 10.
