PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of the equipment by controlling the operation of an echo canceller circuit corresponding to the state of the occurrence of an echo. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is constituted of the voice communication equipment provided with a hand-free function and mounted with a conventional echo canceller thereon (comprising a hand-free speaker 1, a microphone 2, a key entry device 3, a handset 4, a voice D/A converter section 5, a voice A/D converter section 6, a terminal control section 7, a cell control processing section 8, a line interface 9, a hand-free switch 11 and an echo canceller circuit 12) and an echo canceller control section 13 controlling the operation of an echo predict section 121 corresponding to the quantity of echo predicted in the echo canceller circuit 12. |
