PURPOSE:To assure passages for raw materials and to continue and maintain stable and efficient pulverization with the roller mill of a side feed type by peeling and dislodging the deposit layers of the raw materials formed within a raw material charging chute without interrupting operation. CONSTITUTION:The raw material charging chute 10 which diagonally penetrates the upper side wall of a casing 1 and has its front end facing above a turn table 4 is constituted to include a cylindrical chute body 11 consisting of a steel plate material and liners 12, 12' consisting of a rubber plate material which is a flexible and elastic material and mounted on the surface part on the inner side of this chute body 1 on which the raw materials glide and fall. As a result, the liners mounted on the inner side consists of the flexible and elastic material and, therefore, irregular deformation accompanying vermiculation and vibration is generated on the inside surfaces of the liners by the gliding and falling force of the raw materials passing the inside thereof and the elastic restuitive force of the liners themselves and the deposit layers of the raw materials formed on the inside surfaces are autonomously peeled and dislodged by this deformation.
