A closing device 1 for a keyway 2 on a door 3 of a strongbox or safe has an insertable closing or filling piece 6 which, in the inserted position, can be blocked releaseably against withdrawal by means of a second lock 7 and can be extracted again after the opening of this second lock 7 and by means of which a key bit 4 which, in the position of use, projects on it can be introduced into the first lock 5 to be actuated. The filling piece 6 and the key bit 4 are coupled 10 releaseably to one another, so that the key bit 4 can be moved through the keyway 2 by means of the filling piece 6 and can be rotated in order to actuate the lock 5. It is especially beneficial, at the same time, if there is provided a coupling part 11 which is movable relative to the filling piece 6, for example by means of a bolt 14 passing through the latter in the axial direction, and which can be releaseably connected to a coupling piece 12 on the key bit 4 in the axial direction and in the direction of rotation. <IMAGE>
