Method for grinding the tooth cutting edges of a milling cutter

In this method, each tooth cutting edge (2) is ground in at least two successive grinding operations each guided over the entire cutting-edge length, wherein at each grinding point (P) the feed (arrow 6) of the grinding wheel towards the milling cutter (1) takes place in accordance with an independent desired value and these desired values are newly preset for each grinding operation. Following each grinding operation, the cutting-edge course is measured by a measurement sensor. Using the resulting deviations of the cutting-edge points from the required cutting-edge course, the desired values for the next cutting operation are determined by the desired values of the respectively preceding grinding operation being individually altered in the compensating sense by the deviation determined for each corresponding cutting-edge point.
