For attachment of the empennage support (2) of a helicopter to the tail-end fuselage terminating frame (8) which attachment consists of a supporting structure which is arranged between the fuselage terminating frame (8) and the connecting frame (6) (whose cross-sectional height and width are reduced in comparison thereto and which is on the fuselage side) of the empennage support and is in each case connected to said connecting frame (6) such that it is flush with the outer contour, in order to create high structural stiffness with a uniformly low stress level and a free space above the floor level (32) at the tail end of the fuselage terminating frame, which free space is sufficiently large for the tail loading capability and is unimpeded by load-bearing structural elements, without losing any valuable cabin space for the empennage attachment, the load-bearing structure is, according to the invention, designed as a hollow load-bearing member (4) whose cross-section is closed at least in the rear part, which is in the form of a torsion box, has an internal space which can bear loads, and has a cross-sectional height which is essentially constant from the connecting frame to the terminating frame (6, 8) and corresponds to the frame height of the connecting frame (6). <IMAGE>
