This apparatus enables the image (1) of a flat section (2) of an object (3) to be obtained. It includes in particular a source (4) of X-rays providing high-energy pulses passing through the object, at least one linear array (10) of measuring detectors receiving the attenuated energy pulses having passed through the object, and processing and display means connected to the detectors and providing the image of the section. These processing means comprise amplifier/integrator circuits (13) connected to the detectors (10) and to a processor (15) controlling the period of integration of the detection pulses provided by the detectors (10). The processor corrects the value of the amplitude of each detection pulse by taking account of an intermediate integration value, so as to take account of the trail of each pulse, and of the leakage current from each detector. …Application to X-ray tomography ……
