PURPOSE:To provide an image recorder which can prevent a defect from being caused on an image when a transfer medium rushes in a press-contact part between an image carrier and a pressure roll without fusing toner when the toner for low pressure is used and making the recorder large and heavy. CONSTITUTION:Plural electrostatic latent image forming means 2 and 3 arranged at prescribed intervals near the image carrier 1 and along the circumferential direction thereof and set for forming an electrostatic latent image on the carrier 1 are provided. After the electrostatic latent image is started to be formed by the image forming means 2 positioned on an upstream side along the circumferential direction of the carrier 1 first, the formation of the electrostatic latent image by the forming means 2 is stopped just before the transfer medium 6 rushes in the press-contact part 16 between the carrier 1 and the pressure roll 5. Then, the electrostatic latent image is continued to be formed by the image forming means 3 positioned on a downstream side along the circumferential direction of the carrier 1 after the medium 6 rushes in the press-contact part 16. |
