PURPOSE:To obtain excellent electric characteristics of a toner and to obtain a copy picture without fog and high density by constituting a dispersion aid of copolymers containing an amide group-contg. (meth)acryl compd. and styrene monomers and/or (meth)acryl monomers as the structural unit. CONSTITUTION:The dispersion aid for carbon black consists of copolymers (A) containing an amide group-contg. (meth)acryl compd. (a) and styrene monomers and/or (meth)acryl monomers (b) as the structural unit. The master batch consisting of this dispersion aid and carbon black (B) is kneaded by melting with a component of a toner binder (C) to obtain a toner. In this method, the amide group-contg. (meth)acryl compd. (a) is preferably N-(1,1- dimethyl-3-oxobutyl)acrylamide, and the styrene monomer is preferably styrene, alpha-methylstyrene, etc. |
