<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the production process of a black matrix without decreasing flatness of the surface of the produced color filter by forming both of the picture element part and the black matrix part of the color filter with one-color film in a manner that the film thickness in the black matrix part is made thinner than in the picture element part. CONSTITUTION:A tool 5 is formed by etching a copper plate as the base body 1 in an acid soln. First, the surface of the copper plate is etched twice each to form 3mum depth and to obtain 6mum depth of the picture element part by using a patterned mask. Then the picture element part and the black matrix part are etched simultaneously with a mask to 3mum depth. Thus, for example, picture element grooves 2 of 9mum depth and black matrix grooves 3 of 3mum depth are formed. By using this tool 5, color films of R, G, B are laminated on the black matrix part as well as the picture element part is formed when the color filter is produced by printing, so that the black matrix of enough light shielding property can be formed.</p> |
