A mounting assembly for an electrical appliance such as a television receiver (22) or the like that has a mounting bracket (14) which is capable of being mounted either on a horizontal surface, such as a ceiling, or on a vertical surface, such as a wall. the mounting bracket (14) rotatably receives a support arm (30) which extends from the mounting bracket (14) to a support tray (18) upon which the appliance (22) is mounted. the support arm (30) has a generally vertical first portion (32) and a generally horizontal second portion (34). An extension (40) of the support arm second portion (34) extends transversely from the support arm (30) and supportingly contacts the support tray (18), which is fixed to a pair of opposing endcaps (54a, 54b) of the extension (40). An adjustment means (60) interconnects the support tray (18) with the support arm (30) and permits the elevation of the support tray (18) to be selectively adjusted. <IMAGE> |
