The appts. comprises drawing dies, planetary ball dies and sizing dies through which the metal pipe passes in turn to form the inner groove. A hollow axle for passage of the metal pipe is inserted in the axle of motor for transmitting the power to the planetary ball dies. Several planetary balls positioned in the planetary ball dies are kept at the regular intervals by retainer. The appts. is characterized by the fact that the planetary balls are free from rotation and revolution, and can be minutely transferred to be supported by the support ring.
