PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material forming a recording image excellent in storage stability and having high sensitivity suitable for high speed recording by using at least one kind of a compd. represented by a specific general formula as the developer of a thermal color forming layer allowing a leuco dye to develop a color at the time of heating. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material is constituted by providing a thermal color forming layer based on a leuco dye and a developer allowing the dye to develop a color at the time of heating on the upper surface of a support. In this case, at least one kind of a compd. represented by general formula (wherein R is an alkylene group or an alkenyl group) is used as the developer. Further, as the developer, at least one kind of a compd. represented by separate general formula (wherein X and Y is independently a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and m are an integer of 0-4) may be used. Furthermore, an intermediate layer based on spherical fine hollow particles composed of a thermoplastic resin may be arranged between the support and the thermal color forming layer. |
