<p>PURPOSE:To release link between the front surface and the rear surface of a bag main body in relation to a tether belt at the same time at a predetermined timing by crossing a first tether belt and a second tether belt with one another and by linking them together. CONSTITUTION:Tether belts 58 and 59 are linked together at an initial stage of development, and a front panel 42 and a rear panel 44 are closely positioned to one another. A bag main body 40 is rapidly developed to the side. When the bag main body 40 is sufficiently developed to the side, the gas pressure from an inflator primarily serves as a force for progressing the front panel 42. The tensile stress of no less than a predetermined level is added to the low strength part 59a of the tether belt 59, and the low strength part 59a is broken. The linking condition between the tether belts 58 and 59 is thus realized, and the front panel 42 is developed largely also forward.</p> |
