PURPOSE: To produce a mail envelope having insert paper sealed therein by providing a process for producing constituted insert paper, a process for forming an envelope intermediate, a process for arranging an insert paper set to the envelope intermediate and a process for forming the mail envelope. CONSTITUTION: Indivisual insert papers wherein a plurality of insert papers are aligned and combined are cut and variable data is printed on the insert papers in a buckle folding process and the printed insert papers are accurately aligned, gathered and stacked. These insert papers are folded at the same time to be fed and additional insert papers on which predetermined data is preliminarily printed are arranged on the folded insert papers in a process 16 while both edges are punched so as to provide windows, sub-flaps and main flaps in punching processes 18, 19 and a fold is applied to the sub-flaps in a fold applying process 20 and an insert paper set is arranged on an envelope paper web in an arranging process 17. The sub-flaps are folded in a plow folding process 21 and the envelope paper web is cut in a cutting process 22 to form indivisual envelope intermediates and an adhesive is applied to the main flaps of the envelope intermediates in an adhesive coating process 25 and the main flaps are folded in plow folding processes 26, 27 to form seal pieces to seal envelopes. |
